This module is designed for students pursuing an Advanced Diploma in mechanical engineering because it describes the essential knowledge and skills needed by every mechanical technician and engineer to identify, describe, and service hybrid and electric car components.

Panel Beating or resize and reshape vehicle panel is a term used by the public to describe the entire repair process but for the trade it describes only part of the process. The parts it describes is the Repair Process that involves, straightening chassis rails and frames, removing and re-welding panels, fixing dents, confirming correct fit & function and other repair based work that is completed prior to paint refinishing. The panel beaters are responsible for ensuring that the shape, fit, function and specifications match that of a vehicle fresh off the factory assembly line

This Unit will help leaners to manage business activities and to make good use of its resources like labor, raw materials,money and resources in order to transform inputs into goods/services through a set of defined ,controlled and repeatable policies.

• To provide students to understand generalities of all professional ethics;
• To equip the student with the basic knowledge on code of ethics for mechanical engineers
• To provide to the student the basic knowledge on ethics rules that govern the professional of engineers
• To provide to the student the basic knowledge on duties of engineers towards the public
