Horticulture Research Activities module is designed to equip final-year students in Horticulture with the essential skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to successfully carry out horticultural research projects. This module is a critical component of their academic journey, offering you the opportunity to apply all previously acquired knowledge and practical skills in real-world research settings. Throughout this module, you will engage in the development and execution of your final-year research project, culminating in the defense of your research findings. Upon completion of this module, learners will be able to:

  • Organize and prepare a research site for horticultural studies.
  • Design and implement scientifically sound agricultural research.
  • Develop customized data collection tools (e.g., datasheets) based on research objectives.
  • Collect, manage, and analyze data using appropriate methods.
  • Synthesize findings and prepare a clear, well-structured research report.
  • Defend their research project before a panel of evaluators.

Course image OPERATIONAL SUPPORT TO HORTICULTURE COOPERATIVES

This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to provide

operational support to crop production cooperative. It is intended for learners

pursuing TEVT advanced diploma (REQF, Level VII) in Horticulture. At the end of this

module, learners will be able to guide in cooperative activities, identify and provide 

solution to gaps and problems in cooperatives. Qualified learners deemed competent

to this competency may work alone or with others on routine tasks in Horticulture

cooperatives and extension agencies

This module is designed to equip learners with advanced communication skills required in diverse professional settings. It focuses on refining language proficiency for effective workplace interactions, including written and oral communication, report writing, professional correspondence, and presentations. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, problem-solving, and adapting communication styles to suit multicultural and multidisciplinary contexts.

Students will also develop skills in negotiation, leadership communication, and digital literacy, preparing them to handle complex workplace scenarios with confidence and professionalism. The module incorporates case studies, role-playing, and collaborative projects to simulate real-world challenges and foster practical application of skills.

By the end of this course, learners will be proficient in crafting persuasive messages, conducting effective meetings, and navigating workplace dynamics with enhanced linguistic competence and cultural awareness.
