This module describes the skills and knowledge required to analyse strength of materials. 

 At the end of this course, the learner will be able to analyze mechanical properties of materials, determine forces and moments on structure, analyze geometric properties of plane section and analyze truss structures.

LEARNING UNIT 4 – ANALYZE TRUSS STRUCTURES

 4.1 Identify types of trusses.
 4.2 Determine actions and reactions on trusses.
 4.3 Apply truss analysis method to compute truss member forces.
