3.Design and interpret industrial processes using GRAFCET (SFC)
Purpose statement
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to identify electrical
service needs, size needed commercial/industrial electrical installation and apparatus, to
install, repair and maintain electrical devices and equipment. It also describes the
knowledge, skills and attitudes required to design and install service engine standby
generator for working premises. It is designed for trainees pursuing Diploma in Electrical
Technology.
By the end of this module, the trainee will be able to perform identification of electrical
service needs, sizing needed commercial electrical installation and apparatus,
installation, maintainance and repair of commercial electrical devices and equipment. In
addition, the trainee will be able to design, install and service engine standby generator
for working premises.
PHY601 is a general module that covers the fundamentals of physics; it is about basic mechanics, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. It has been designed for the students pursuing their Adv. Diploma in ELT/CoT/IDT in the colleges of Rwanda Polytechnic.
Module purpose statement
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to identify, select and control electromechanical actuators including relays, contactors and other electromechanical elements used in electrical circuitry like machinery, elevators and various motion systems. It is designed for trainees pursuing Advanced Diploma in Electrical Technology.
By the end of this module, the trainee will be able to identify, select, install, control, troubleshoot and maintain the electromechanical actuators for an industrial application. The general learning objectives of the whole modules
