This module titled COLD WATER SUPPLY ( WSC 102-PLUMBING WORKSHOP) will help students to understand and perform cold water supply systems and techniques with reference to the standard, rules and regulations governing plumbing works.
It is the complementary of WSC 101 just studied in semester one , level one, students are encouraged to read carefully all course materials including lecture notes given to them, perform assignments correctly, practical works in the workshop and reporting where possible in order to equip you will knowledge and skills required on the labor market both nationally and internationally.

This Module is useful in order to be familial about practical work for students especially in setting out a building, method of excavation work, Timbering and stone masonry for foundation.
This module will help students to be familial with different methods used in setting out a building, Excavation and to differentiate different type of bond of stone masonry used.
The module titled workshop technology for level one , WSC 102 -WOODWORKING MACHINES / CARPENTRY WORKSHOP has the aim of introducing to students on woodworking machines operations as used in wood works especially in carpentry workshop or ICPCs ( Integrated Craft Production Centers-AGAKIRIRO), these machines are also used in civil engineering activities just on construction site.
This module is the complementary of the module which has been learnt in semester one ,level one civil engineering named INTRODUCTION TO CIVIL ENGINEERING WORKSHOPS =WSC 101=component of TIMBER TECHNOLOGY AND HAND TOOLS USE-CARPENTRY WORKSHOP'' whereby at the completion of this module students were able to understand timber technology and use of hand tools for a specific task given to them.
woodworking machines as module ,came in semester two in order to train our students in accordance to the labor market demand locally and internationally,by the end of this module student will be able to understand safety related to the machines , identify and operate portable power tools, identify and operate heavy duty woodworking machines.in addition to this, students will perform different operations safely on woodworking machines such as cutting ,planing, jointing thicknessing, molding , mortising shaping etc, including machine safety and maintenance.
As trainer, it is my obligation to conduct training and delivering courses that equip our students with knowledge and hands on skills at a maximum level in order to provide response to the poverty reduction and rapid development of our country and region in general.
