MINE OPERATIONS PLANNING

This module describes the skills and knowledge required to Plan mines operations. This 
module is intended to students pursuing diploma in Mining Technology TVET level VI. 
The end of this module, the learner will be able to plan for drilling operation, Plan for 
blasting operation, Planning for materials handling operations, Plan for mine supporting 
operations, Plan for mineral processing operations, Plan for maintenance of machines 
and equipment, Plan for occupational health and safety in mines and Prepare Mining 
operation technical reports. 
It is an obligation for each employee to participate in the management of their own 
health and safety and that of their colleagues and anyone else in the workplace. They 
have a duty to cooperate with their employer's initiatives to ensure safety at work. 

TEAM MANAGEMENT SKILLS

This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to manage a team. Upon completion of this module, the trainee will be able to apply professional communication skills including describing clearly the basics of communication, delivering effectively a speech, performing properly interview and writing properly business letters, reports and memos. Furthermore, the trainee will be able to apply team leading skills including managing effectively employees, resolving appropriately workplace problems and giving effectively instructions and feedback. Finally, the trainee will be able to manage meeting by acquiring the skills in preparing, conducting, debriefing and following up a meeting.

This module describes the skills and knowledge required to Apply mining software. This
module is intended to students pursuing diploma in Mining Technology TVET level VI. At
the end of this module, the students will be able to Create database design an
underground mine and design of a surface mine with the aid of the mine design
software.
