This course is very important and learner will acquire a package of skills in research process, types, data collection methods, analysis and dissemination of results.

Course image Analysis of Statically Determinate Structures
Construction Technology

This module intends to make learners: understanding different forms of structures, knowing to calculate the degree of static and kinematic indeterminacy of a given structure, knowing and applying the principle of superposition, explaining strain energy concept, Determining the displacements induced in determinate structures by applied load via the application of different methods like: direct integration method, moment area method, Castigliano's theorem and principle of virtual work. Learners will also know how to analyze determinate structures subjected to moving load via deep study of influence line.

Furthermore, this module will help student to develop basic analytical understanding in statically determined structures using the knowledge, understanding and analytical tools provided.

Course image SOIL MECHANICS
Construction Technology

The course aims to provide the general notions of: origin of soil, composition of soil, physical and index properties of the soil, Mechanical characteristics and engineering behaviour of the soil, failure criteria of loaded soil, stress distribution in soil mass due to soil self-weight or structural loads and lateral pressure created by disequilibrium of stress in soil mass. At the end of the module learners will be able to determine the engineering properties of soil via various practical works and laboratory experiments as well.

Course image ANALYSIS OF STATICALLY INDETERMINATE STRUCTURES
Construction Technology

Indeterminate structures are structures which can not be solved by using only the equations of equilibrium. At the end of this module students will be able to analysis indeterminate structures by applying different methods like:  Force Method and displacement methods.

Course image COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Construction Technology

Having successfully completed this unit, students will be able to read, understand and give the right interpretation of different texts in the field of technology. Students will get opportunities to develop English vocabulary, terms and expressions related to their respective field of technology .They will also be able to express themselves fluently both orally and in writing.

Course image RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Construction Technology

The module of research methodology intends to help the students: to grasp the real meaning of research and to understand what motivate people to conduct research. The module also inspires the students on how to select a research problem (topic), and introduces to them different types of data and different ways to collect each of them. At the end of the module the students will become capable of writing a research proposal and  project report as well.
