This module describes the skills and knowledge required to manage wastes and to perform pollution control in wood industries for sustainable development. It focuses on the protection of public health in a manner that is commensurate with environmental, social, and political concerns. This will be achieved through the assessment of waste, development of waste management plans, management of wastes, and application of pollution control measures in wood industry.
