This module is designed to provide students with knowledge, skills and attitudes to describe wood products and by-products, manage production materials and processes, manage packaging of wood products and by-products within the wood industry from design and prototyping to manufacturing and quality control. It also provides students with a detailed understanding of the various manufacturing methods, techniques, and processes involved in producing wood-based products with an emphasis on the importance of quality, sustainability, efficiency, and safety in production processes. The anchoring of the delivery to real life scenarios prepares students to tackle challenges associated with management of wood-based products’ manufacture while ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations
