This module describes
the skills and knowledge required to apply statistical methods. At the end of
this module, the trainee of Level 6 (year 2) will be able to explain the use of
Statistics in business, to describe data Collection Methods, to classify and tabulate
Data, to calculate measures of Central tendency, to use probability distributions
and applying inferential statistics
Conducting successfully university studies requires putting into actions various factors in order to
achieve theoretical and practical works in addition to the exercises that are relevant to various
courses. The introduction to scientific research aims at acquainting students with basic knowledge
and skills of scientific research such as key concepts in scientific research, various steps involved and
methodological approaches used in carrying out research and writing academic research proposals
and dissertations.
This module aims to equip the student in the TVET related trades acquiring essential knowledge, skills,
values and attitudes in the comprehensive research methodology. The emphasis will be put on
description of research concept, development and presentation of research proposal. This module
