Purpose statement 

This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to apply stock management that involves in ordering, storing, tracking and controlling inventory. This module is also intended to trainees pursuing diploma in Manufacturing Technology. At the end of this module, the trainee will be able to receive, record, deliver materials, tools and equipment, and perform inventory of materials, tools and equipment. They will also be able to manage stocks activities in different industries as well as other big workshops including delivering stock, inspect the usage of deliverance and reporting the damaged stock materials. They will be able to exercise some initiatives and independence in carrying out defined activities at professional level.

This module "Introduction to Research Methodology" aims to equip the student in the TVET related trades acquiring essential knowledge, skills, values and attitudes in the comprehensive research methodology. The emphasis will be put on description of research concept, development and presentation of research proposal. This module provides the ability to conduct a research proposal.

By the end of the module, the trainee will be able to:

This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required in heat and work and those properties of matter that relate to heat and work even generating power and refrigerate.

❑ Both power generation and refrigeration are usually accomplished by thermodynamics system.

❑ This module is intended to trainees pursuing TVET diploma in manufacturing technology.

❑ At the end of this module, trainees will be able to describe common thermodynamic principles, describe thermodynamics laws, calculate properties of gas during expansion and compression and describe steam plants and calculate thermal efficiency.

❑ They will be able to exercises some initiatives and independence in carrying out defined activities at professional level.

Having successfully completed this module, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding:

i.      Electrical and electronics principles;

ii.     Knowledge of working principles of DC and AC circuits;

iii.    Working principles of mono and polyphase circuits;

iv.    DC and AC circuits theorems and circuit analysis

v.     Differentiation between different electrical materials and their use;

vi.    Identify different areas in which electricity is used;

vii.   Apply AC and DC electrical theorems in electrical field;

viii.  Use the electrical devices in their daily life;

ix.    Distinguish various application of electricity in society;

x.     Explain basic electronic components and their roles;

xi.    Use the electrical devices to implement different electrical circuits.
