This module describes the skills, knowledge and
attitude required to apply basic concept of electricity and automation. It is
intended for learners pursuing TVET diploma of irrigation and drainage
technology. At the end of this module the students will be able to identify
basic concepts in electricity, study the behavior and characteristics of AC and
DC circuits, identify Single and 3phase circuits, install different electrical
circuits in irrigation system, and install automated irrigation system. Qualified
student deemed competent to this competency, may work with others in support of
current professional practice in marshland, hillside, small scale irrigation,
garden, greenhouses under guidance.
AutoCAD software module is designed for students pursuing diploma in Construction Technology. It describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to use AutoCAD Software. At the end of this module, the students will be able to set up AutoCAD workspace, use AutoCAD features, and produce AutoCAD drawings that can be used in engineering activities.
This module aims at familiarizing new students with General English language Grammar to help them tackle the other modules without difficulties. It also helps students to leverage their levels in speaking, listening and reading required to perform well in their academic endeavors.
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to communicate effectively at the workplace. In fact, the trainee will be able to apply English general language skills, listen to trade related speeches, speak about trade related topics and read trade-specific texts. Once this module is well delivered the trainee will be equipped with necessary skills to communicate in English at workplace.
