The Management of Leisure and Recreation Operations Module is designed to enable B-Tech tourism management students to acquire and develop skills that will enable them to manage leisure and recreation activities and centers. The module will broaden students’ perspectives on leisure and recreation activities and offer them opportunities to participate in managing a range of physical activities.
The module will also allow students to be able to design leisure and recreation sites and coordinate L&R sites development. The module enables students to coordinate L&R marketing activities. Students will also learn to develop and manage safety and security procedures and guidelines for leisure and recreation activities.

The purpose of this module is to equip the students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and right attitudes towards integrating technology in tourism. By integrating technology into tourism, the industry intends to provide improved tour and travel services that leave everlasting experiences. The overall goal of the course is to leverage innovative solutions to address key challenges that hinder tourism industry development and sustainable destination management. Through the strategic application of technology in tourism, destinations can meet the evolving needs of modern travellers while contributing to the growth and resilience of the tourism industry as a whole.

The module will equip students with managerial skills to manage stakeholders in their tourism projects. Skills that will enable them to identify relevant stakeholders, categorize and analyze them in accordance with project goals. Students will learn how to mobilize stakeholders to support a given project. The module will finally equip the future managers with skills on corporate social responsibility required to generally engage and mobilize communities around their operations.

This module is aimed at equipping trainees with the necessary knowledge, skills, and right attitudes needed to run tourism destinations in a smart way. Through the course, the trainees will be able to explore the smart tourism concept, assess tourism destination readiness and maturity, and finally develop a roadmap towards smart tourism.
