This specific module describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge, attitude required to demonstrate professional behaviour, to manage stakeholders’ relationship with high level of respect of laws and regulations governing veterinary profession. This module will cover the following elements of competence:

This core module provides the skills, knowledge and attitude for a learner to be competent in a range of routine tasks and activities that require the application of practical skills in artificial insemination. Upon completion of this module the learner will be able to:

1.  Identify artificial insemination tools and equipment
2. Collect and process sperms
3. Apply artificial insemination techniques
   

This core module provides the skills, knowledge and attitude for a learner to be competent in a range of routine tasks and activities that require the application of practical skills in a defined context of meat, milk, eggs, honey and fish inspection. Upon completion of this module, the trainee will be able to Sketch an abattoir, perform meat inspection, perform fresh milk inspection, Perform honey quality inspection, Perform fish quality inspection, Perform eggs quality

This module describes the skills and knowledge required to perform Necropsy.
By the end of this module the participant will be able to:
• Identify necropsy equipment and tools
• Perform pre-necropsy evaluation
• Perform necropsy evaluation

This core module provides the skills, knowledge and attitude for a learner to be competent in a range of routine tasks and activities that require the application of practical skills in a defined context of pig farming and breeds identification:
Upon completion of this module, the trainee will be able to:
1. Identify pig breed;
2. Sketch and equip piggery;
3. Manage pig farming;
4. Perform pig health and diseases control

This core module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required by the learner to perform major surgery. Any veterinary has to do surgery in his professional work. So, this competence is very important for the Veterinary Nurse training. Upon completion of this module, the trainee will be able to: Perform head and neck surgery Perform abdominal surgery Perform orthopedic surgery.

This core module provides the skills, knowledge and attitude for a learner to be competent in a range of routine tasks and activities that require the application of practical skills in a defined context of the fish farming.
Upon completion of this module, the trainee will be able to:

1.  Select fish species
2. Construct a fish farming enclosures
3. Stock farming enclosures
4. Manage fish production
5. Control fish diseases and predators
   

This module is provided for the trainees of level five and describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to perform companion animals keeping especially dogs, cats and equine species. Moreover, this module will enable the trainee to describe companion animal species and breeds; house companion animals; keep companion animals and control specific diseases of companion animals.
