This subject describes in details the different metal forming processes that are grouped into bulk deformation processes and sheet metal working processes. An overview of engineering materials is discussed in brief highlighting the properties that contribute to the deformability of metals . The steps in Metal fabrication are discussed as well as the elements of cost estimation for a fabricated product. Also different metal cutting processes are described in this module. The measuring tools and cutting tools used in fabrication shop are discussed.

This module of research methodology is composed of four chapters; each chapter has assignment at the end of learning. The purpose of this module is to help learners to understand research context, to help learners to understand how to make research, how to write research report and how to make a good research presentation.
