This module describes the skills and knowledge
required to Apply mineral economics. This module is intended to students
pursuing diploma in Mining Technology TVET level VI. At the end of this module, the students will
be able to Perform Identify the nature and scope of economics, Identify
economic factors of production, minerals economic concepts, and minerals
taxation principles. It is an obligation for each employee to participate in
the management of their own health and safety and that of their colleagues and
anyone else in the workplace. They have a duty to cooperate with their employer's
initiatives to ensure safety at work.

In the introduction, we will study the types of communication and the key-elements of communication process. Part one of this module aims at helping students to communicate effectively and take their place as confident communicators, critical and imaginative thinkers, and active participants in professional written correspondence. Students will learn to write their CVs and cover letters, complaint letters, memos and formal emails. Part two focuses on professional speaking skills. In this part, learners will be able to produce and practice public speeches, plan and conduct interviews. This module is much more practical and student-centered and it will enable them to take control of their language and take responsibility for learning, for both life learning and their careers.
