This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to produce
mushrooms. This module is intended to students pursuing TVET Diploma in Horticulture.
At the end of this module, learners will be able to Prepare mushroom mound, plant
mushroom, manage pests and diseases and carry out mushrooms harvesting and postharvest
handling operations.Qualified learners deemed competent to this competency
may work alone or with others on routine tasks in various places such as mushroom
production farm, horticultural research centre, greenhouse under minimum supervision.
