Have you ever wondered how plants grow, reproduce, and respond to their environment? This module provides the foundational knowledge to understand these processes. Learners will move beyond simply observing plants to understanding such vital processes that drive their growth and development.

This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to describe plant physiology. It is intended for learners pursuing TVET Diploma / REQF Level 6 in Horticulture. At the end of this module, learners will be able to describe plant components as well as plant physiological processes and plant nutrition process. Upon successful completion of this module, learners will be able to describe the fundamental components of plants, from cellular structures to major organs, explain key physiological processes, including photosynthesis, respiration, transpiration, and plant nutrition, understand how plants grow and develop through their life cycles and apply this knowledge to make informed decisions in horticultural management for improved plant health and productivity.
