This module describes the skills and knowledge required to describe freshwater ecosystems including lakes, rivers, and wetlands; to assess the status of freshwater bodies by identifying the source of water pollution, analyzing the types of pollutants in water bodies and establishing water pollution control measures. It also intends to equip learners with the skills related to the restoration of degraded freshwater ecosystems and their protection.
