This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to maintain drainage
system. It is intended for learners pursuing TVET diploma of irrigation and drainage
technology. At the end of this module the students will be able to develop maintenance
program for drainage system, organize resources and complete maintenance of the drainage
system. They will also complete records and reports of drainage system maintenance. A qualified
student deemed competent in this competency, may work with others in support of
current professional practice in marshland, hillside, small-scale irrigation, garden,
greenhouses under guidance.
