This course focuses on equipping learners with the essential skills to safely and effectively operate woodworking cutting and planing machinery.
A major emphasis is placed on Health and Safety, ensuring learners can identify and control hazards by adhering to safety precautions and properly marking machine working zones.The training covers the crucial step of assessing machine conditions and settings, including proper machine identification, thorough condition inspections, and checking adjacent parts or guards before operation.
Learners will develop the practical competency to operate these machines, which involves activating the exhaustion system, systematically planing wooden pieces while maintaining the correct standing position, and precisely cutting material based on provided designs and provisional measurements.
Finally, the course addresses basic maintenance activities, teaching the effective execution of daily maintenance according to manufacturer instructions, including proper cleaning and the correct selection and application of lubricants. This ensures the machines remain in optimal working condition.
