PURPOSE STATEMENT
This core module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to a learner to
interpret the law of tort, liability, building regulations and building codes. This module
is intended for learners pursuing a TVET diploma in quantity surveying. At the end of
this module, the learners will be able to assess professional liabilities, interpret
negligent action, advise precautions, interpret building regulation, interpret zoning
regulations ,advise in process of occupancy permit request, interpret building
standards, interpret building code and respect building code.
