This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to produce seed. It is intended
for learners who have successfully completed the 9 years’ basic education or its equivalent and
pursuing TVET Certificate III in crop production or other related qualifications. At the end of this
module, you will be able to prepare for seed production operations. Carry out planting
operations for seed production, Monitor seed production field and perform seed harvesting and
post-harvesting operations. Qualified learners deemed competent to this competency may work
alone or with others on routine tasks in various places such as horticulture farm, crop production
farm, agriculture research center, greenhouse under minimum supervision.
