Engineering ethics is an important course for a Quantity Surveying student at Rwanda Polytechnic because it teaches the moral principles and professional standards required in construction and engineering practice. The course emphasizes honesty, integrity, accountability, fairness, and respect for the law when dealing with cost estimation, contracts, and project management. It helps students understand ethical challenges such as corruption, conflict of interest, and misrepresentation of costs, and guides them on how to make responsible decisions that protect clients, the public, and the profession.
