This module describes the skills, knowledge, and attitude required to apply crop disease management technologies in crop production. It is intended for learners pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Crop Production (RQF, level 8).
At the end of this module, Learners will be able to:
- Apply knowledge of plant pathology in crop production,
- Demonstrate laboratory analysis skills in crop protection and,
- Apply knowledge of phytopharmacy and phytiatry in crop production
Qualified Learner deemed competent to perform this competency work alone or with others on routine tasks of crop protection in various places, such as :
- Private farmers,
- Agricultural research institutions,
- Farmer’s cooperatives, and
- Companies.
