This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to maintain irrigation and drainage tools and equipment. It is intended for learners pursuing TVET diploma of irrigation and drainage technology. At the end of this module, the students will be able to develop a maintenance program for irrigation tools and equipment, organize resources, complete maintenance of irrigation tools and equipment and complete records and reports of irrigation tools and equipment maintenance. Qualified student deemed competent to this competency may work with others in support of current professional practice in marshland, hillside, small-scale irrigation, garden, greenhouses under guidance.
