This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to perform TIG
welding, perform MIG/MAG welding and perform FCAW welding of metals for specials
purposes of use. This module is intended to trainees pursuing diploma in manufacturing
technology. At the end of this module, the trainees will be able to weld special
equipment made in one of non-ferrous metals, welding of thicker metals, padding the
worn-out parts and fabricating mechanical system or machines using TIG, MIG/MAG and
or FCAW under minimum supervision. They will be able to exercises some initiatives and
independence in carrying out defined activities at professional level.
