Effective livestock extension begins with a clear understanding of farmers’ needs and the ability to plan, implement, and evaluate appropriate extension activities. In this module, you will develop the skills required to identify gaps in livestock production knowledge and practices, and to use this information to plan and organize effective extension activities.
You will also learn how to evaluate extension activities in order to measure their effectiveness, improve future interventions, and support sustainable livestock development. The competencies gained in this module will enable you to actively support livestock producers through well-structured and evidence-based extension services.
