The Management of Veterinary Drugs course equips learners with essential knowledge and practical skills for the safe, effective, and responsible use of veterinary medicines in livestock and companion animal systems. The course covers key areas including drug classification, prescription principles, dosage calculation, storage, handling, withdrawal periods, pharmacovigilance, antimicrobial resistance, and regulatory frameworks applicable in Rwanda. It aims to promote rational drug use to improve animal health and welfare while ensuring food safety, public health, and environmental protection.

Upon completion, learners gain competencies to manage veterinary drugs in compliance with legal and ethical standards and to advise farmers on proper drug use.
