Knowledge of Cropping Techniques

•This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to Apply knowledge of cropping techniques. It is intended for learner pursuing TVET Diploma in Agricultural mechanization Technology.

•At the end of this module, learner will be able to :

  • Apply basic knowledge in plant biology,
  • Establish the crops in the field,
  • Apply crop maintenance techniques and apply crop harvesting and post-harvesting handling techniques.

Qualified learners deemed competent to this competency may work alone or with others on routine tasks in various places such as private farmers, agricultural research institutions, and farmer’s cooperatives dealing with cropping techniques.
