This module describes the skills, knowledge and
attitudes required to identify electrical
services needs, size the needed residential/commercial electrical installation and
apparatus, install, repair and maintainresidential /commercial electrical devices,
equipment. It also de monstrates the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to design
and install public lighting system and to install and service engine standby generator for
premises plus power factor improvement. It is designed for trainees pursuing D iploma in
Electrical Technology.
By
the end of this modul e, the trainee will be able to perform the identification of
electrical services needs, the sizing of needed residential/commerc ial electrical
installation, apparatus, mainte nance and repair of residential /commercial electrical
devices and equipment . T he trainee will also be able to make the design and installation
of public lighting system and the install ation and servicing of engine standby generator
for working premises and power factor improvement
