This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to illustrate power semiconductor devices, apply power conversion techniques and recognize the application of power converters in electrical power systems. The main focus will be placed on the comprehension of the elementary power conversion structures, their operating principles, and waveform analysis. It is designed for trainees pursuing Diploma in Electronics and telecommunications Technology.
