This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to determine hydraulic
parameters for irrigation system. It is intended for learners pursuing TVET diploma of
irrigation and drainage technology. At the end of this module the students will be able to
confirm water delivery specifications for irrigation system, determine pressures required
to deliver required amount of water over specified area and select system components
to deliver water efficiently. Qualified student deemed competent to this competency,
may work with others in support of current professional practice in marshland, hillside,
small scale irrigation, garden, greenhouses under guidance
