
Business Management (CCMBM601) is a competency-based course designed to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to effectively manage a business entity in a dynamic and competitive environment. The course introduces fundamental concepts of entrepreneurship and business development, including business environment analysis, business planning, resource mobilization, and business growth strategies. Learners develop competencies in business finance through budgeting, business transaction management, financial statement preparation, and financial performance evaluation. The course also covers essential human resource management practices such as workforce planning, recruitment, induction, performance management, labor efficiency, and conflict management. In addition, learners gain practical knowledge of marketing management, including market segmentation, marketing planning, promotional strategies, and channel management. By integrating strategic management principles with practical business applications, the course prepares learners to make informed managerial decisions, optimize organizational resources, and achieve sustainable business performance.
