This module equips Level 6 learners with the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes required to operate a hotel switchboard effectively within the Room Division department. It focuses on the essential communication techniques and telephone etiquette needed to manage internal and external calls while delivering excellent guest service.

Learners will develop competence in answering, screening, transferring, and routing calls, taking and relaying messages accurately, handling guest inquiries and complaints professionally, and coordinating communication between hotel departments. The module also covers emergency call procedures, privacy and confidentiality standards, and the use of modern telephone and switchboard systems commonly found in hospitality establishments.
