This course introduces the fundamental principles of chemistry, providing students of Water and Sanitation Technology with a solid foundation for further study in science and related fields. Topics include the structure of matter, atomic theory, the periodic table, chemical bonding, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, states of matter, solutions, acids and bases, and an introduction to organic and environmental chemistry. Emphasis is placed on developing problem-solving skills, applying chemical concepts to real-world situations, and performing simple laboratory experiments to reinforce theoretical knowledge.
