FLUID MECHANICS

Purpose statement

This general module describes the knowledge, skills, and attitude required to apply concepts of fluid mechanics in mechanical engineering applications. This module is intended to trainees pursuing diploma in automobile technology. At the end of this module, the trainee will be able to describe fluid statics, internal and external fluid flows, compressive fluid dynamics, hydroelectric power system. This module will facilitate the trainee to perform well his/her tasks in automobile as well as in hydroelectric power plant. The trainee will be able to exercise some initiatives and independence in carrying out defined activities at a professional level.
