This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to Apply basic cropping
practices. It is intended for learners pursuing TVET diploma of irrigation and drainage
technology. At the end of this module the students will be able to establish the crops in
the field, identify the cropping techniques and maintenance, carry out Harvest and postharvest
operation of the crops. Qualified student deemed competent to this
competency, may work with others in support of current professional practice in
marshland, hillside, small scale irrigation, garden, greenhouses under guidance.
