This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to manage horticultural crop pests and diseases.
It is intended for learners pursuing TVET diploma (REQF, level 6) in Crop production.
At the end of this module, students will be able to prepare for pests and diseases management, monitor pests and diseases in agricultural crops, and apply pest and disease management measures. Qualified students deemed competent to this competency work alone or with others on routine tasks in various places dealing with agricultural crop pests and diseases management such as private farmers, agricultural research institutions, farmers’ cooperatives, and companies.
