This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude requiredproduce herbs, spices and aromatic 
plants. This module is intended to students pursuing TVET Diploma in Horticulture. At the end of this 
module, learners will be able to make a production plan for herbs, spices and aromatic plants, carry 
out herbs, spices and aromatic plants establishment activities, carry out herbs, spices and aromatic 
plants post planting operations and carry out harvesting and post harvesting of herbs, spices and 
aromatic plants produce.  Qualified learners deemed competent to this competency may work alone 
or with others on routine tasks in various places dealing with herbs, spices and aromatic production 
such as private farmers, agricultural research institutions and farmers’ cooperatives.
