Construction Materials Science (QUSCM601) introduces learners to the fundamental properties, composition, classification, and testing of construction materials. The course covers key binding materials such as cement, lime, and plaster; structural materials like concrete, bricks, blocks, and timber; and various admixtures used to enhance performance. Students gain both theoretical and practical knowledge on material selection, manufacturing processes, quality control, and performance testing to ensure durability, strength, and suitability for different construction applications.
