Fruits Production

Purpose statement
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to produce fruits. This
module is intended to students pursuing TVET Diploma in Horticulture. At the end of this
module, learners will be able to make a fruit production plan, carry out fruits
establishment activities, carry out fruits crop post planting operations and carry out
harvesting and post harvesting of fruits produce. Qualified learners deemed competent
to this competency may work alone or with others on routine tasks in various places
dealing with fruits production such as private farmers, agricultural research institutions,
farmers’ cooperatives.
