FOREST ECOLOGY

This course aims to equip the learner with the ability to clearly understand which ecological term to use for forest ecosystems; distinguish different components of a forest ecosystem; identify habitats of different organisms in a forest; describe conditions favouring species establishment within a forest ecosystem; compare factors importance on a given species distribution; describe steps required for a forest restoration program; and to explore examples of forest restoration activities in Rwanda.
