This course is an introductory course for Oracle DBA’s. The goal of this course is to cover the Oracle architecture and internal mechanisms such that the student is able to perform basic DBA tasks such as database creation, startup and shutdown, and database management.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES/OUTCOMES
Having successfully completed the module, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:
- The Oracle database architecture and creating an oracle database.
- Configuring the Oracle network Environment
- Administering the oracle system user security
- Managing oracle instance
- The concept of backup and recovery
- The ways of managing schema objects
