Electronics and Telecommunications Technology

Objectives of module

The main purpose of Advanced Computer Skills is to train individuals who have completed Basic Computer Literacy to an advanced level. Learners will be able to then transfer data between applications, apply various functions and formulas. They will also be able to make decisions over the acquisition of software packages suitable to their departments and directorate. Issues such as data security, database querying and generating of database reports are covered to prepare learners for the actual workplace.

In addition, students learn skills such as sending emails, conducting Internet research, creating word processing documents and creating presentations.

Course image TECHNICAL DRAWING
Electronics and Telecommunications Technology

This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to apply technical drawing.

At the end of this module, a learner will be able to:

1.        Use drawing instruments, materials and equipment.

2.        Apply lines and symbols used in drawing.

3.        Perform 2 and 3-dimensional drawing.

Electronics and Telecommunications Technology

The design of 1 distributed, safety-critical real-time systems is challenging due to their high complexity,

2 the potentially large number of components, and complicated requirements and environment assumptions that

3 stemfrominternational standards. We present a case study that shows that despite those challenges, the automated

4 formal verification of such systems is not only possible, but practicable even in the context of small to medium5

sized enterprises. We considered a wireless fire alarm system, regulated by the EN 54 standard

Course image Computer Maintenance
Electronics and Telecommunications Technology

This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to maintain computer peripherals. At the end of this module, the participants will be able to select
and arrange different materials, equipment and tools used when maintaining computer peripherals. In addition s/he will be able to check, correct different faults
(settings and hardware) and test the printer, projector, and scanner and copier machine.

Course image ENGLISH FOR TECHNOLOGY AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Electronics and Telecommunications Technology

INTRODUCTION In our everyday life, we need to communicate with others. A person who is able to speak appropriately while maintaining eye contact with the audience, uses varied vocabulary and articulate speech to suit the need of the audience is generally said to be an effective speaker. Similarly, an effective writer should be able to use written words in various styles and techniques to communicate his/her message and ideas to the readers. One should have the ability to listen carefully, write and speak clearly in any situation. Therefore good reading, writing, speaking and listening skills are essential for effective communication.
