Purpose statement
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to theoretical applications of engineering mechanics including the analysis of frames machines trusses and beam. This module is intended to trainees pursuing Advanced diploma in automobile technology. At the end of this module, the students will be able to describe fundamentals of engineering mechanics, describe forces, describe moment of forces, describe condition of equilibrium, analyze support reaction, analyze perfect frame, describe center of gravity and moment of inertia, and describe friction. He or She will have the ability to exercise some initiative and independence in carrying out defined activities at a professional level.

attitude required to perform vehicle preventive maintenance. It is very core to every
automotive mechanic specialist to conduct vehicle inspection; perform oil change,
perform brake service, perform cooling system maintenance, perform tire maintenance
and perform steering system maintenance in order to keep vehicle in normal operating
condition.

system, and service exhaust system and perform engine overhauling, to keep engine in
good condition.
This module describes the knowledge, skills and attitude required to repair vehicle fuel supply system. This module is intended to students pursuing diploma in automobile technology. At the end of this module, the students will be able to identify, describe, diagnose, dismantle, disassemble, inspect, Replace, and reassemble vehicle fuel supply components and test diesel and petrol engines fuel systems.
