This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to primarily be able to
identify categories of improved cook stoves (ICS) and conduct various stove tests. It is
intended for student pursuing diploma in Renewable Energy.
At the end of this module, the student will be able to identify categories of improved
cook stoves, to Conduct Water boiling test and controlled cooking tests, to Carry out
Kitchen performance test and Conduct durability test.

It also describes the analysis methods and theorems required to accomplish the above tasks. It is designed for students pursuing diploma in Renewable Energy.

This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required in heat and work and those properties of matter that relate to heat and work even generating power and refrigerate. Both power generation and refrigeration are usually accomplished by thermodynamics system. This module is intended to trainees pursuing TVET diploma in manufacturing technology. At the end of this module, trainees will be able to describe common thermodynamic principles, describe thermodynamics laws, calculate properties of gas during expansion and compression and Describe steam plants and calculate thermal efficiency. They will be able to exercises some initiatives and independence in carrying out defined activities at professional level.
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required to perform TIG welding,
perform MIG/MAG welding and perform FCAW welding of metals for specials purposes of use.
This module is intended to trainees pursuing diploma in manufacturing technology. At the end
of this module, the trainees will be able to weld special equipment made in one of non-ferrous
metals, welding of thicker metals, padding the worn-out parts and fabricating mechanical
system or machines using TIG, MIG/MAG and or FCAW under minimum supervision. They will
be able to exercises some initiatives and independence in carrying out defined activities at
professional level.
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to communicate effectively at the workplace. In fact, the trainee will be able to apply English general language skills, listen to trade related speeches, speak about trade related topics and read trade-specific texts. Once this module is well delivered the trainee will be equipped with necessary skills to communicate in English at workplace.
