Purpose statement
This module aims to equip the student in the TVET related trades acquiring essential
knowledge, skills, values and attitudes in the comprehensive research methodology. The
emphasis will be put on description of research concept, development and presentation of
research proposal. This module provides the ability to conduct a research proposal.
By the end of the module, the trainee will be able to:
- Describe fluid statics
- Describe internal and external fluid flows
- Analyze compressible
fluid dynamics
- Describe hydroelectric
power system
This module describes the skills and knowledge required to describe digital electronics, apply digital arithmetic and basics of digital coding, basic of combinational and sequential logic, and digital integrated circuits.
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to install briquetting
machine, produce briquettes and maintain briquetting machine. It is intended for student
pursuing diploma in Renewable energy.
At the end of this module, the student will be able to perform the installation of briquetting
machine, production of briquettes and maintainance of briquetting machine.
Purpose statement
This module describes the skills and knowledge required for electronic fundamentals. At the end of this module a trainee will be able to Use and test electronic lab / workshop equipment ,apply passive device, active device and linear ICs as well as amplifiers. Also this module contains four elements of competence.
1.Use electronic lab / workshop equipment
2.Apply passive device
3.Apply Active device
4.Apply linear ICs and amplifiers
This module describes the skills, knowledge and
attitudes required to communicate effectively at the workplace. In fact, the
trainee will be able to apply English general language skills, listen to trade
related speeches, speak about trade related topics and read trade-specific
texts. Once this module is well delivered the trainee will be equipped with
necessary skills to communicate in English at workplace.
Dear Student, My name is Lecturer Etienne IRAGUHA from Renewable energy department.
I will be with you in this module of Biogas technology within semester 1 academic year 2021-2022.
This course has 10 credits and will be assessed well by doing queezes, Assignments, CAT1, CAT2 all out of 60% that is named as Formative assessment and 40% remaining for Final Exam named as Summative assessment.
I wish to be with you and request you to be interactive together.
Thank you so much
This
module is constituted by basic knowledge fluid Mechanics. Its main aims is to
transfer to the students basic knowledge of the fluid properties, describe
principles of hydrostatics , fluid dynamics determine pipe size and fluid
pressure and apply fluid calculation.

This
module describes skills, knowledge and attitudes required to apply Advanced
Engineering Mathematics. At the end of this module, the trainee will be able to
apply vectors, complex numbers, ordinary differential equations, Laplace and z
transforms, Fourier series, descriptive statistics and probability.
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitude required in heat and work and those properties of matter that relate to heat and work even generating power and refrigerate. Both power generation and refrigeration are usually accomplished by thermodynamics system. This module is intended to trainees pursuing TVET diploma in manufacturing technology. At the end of this module, trainees will be able to describe common thermodynamic principles, describe thermodynamics laws, calculate properties of gas during expansion and compression and Describe steam plants and calculate thermal efficiency. They will be able to exercises some initiatives and independence in carrying out defined activities at professional level.
The aims of this course is to introduce students to drawing instrumentation, representation of real life objects on different size of papers (scaling, dimensioning), projections, views and sections as a tool of professional engineering communication.
