Module objectives
- To introduce students to PLC operations, ladder logic creation, and basic programming concepts.
- To establish communications with the PLC
- To empower students to design, run, test, and debug ladder logic programs, as well as simulate the operation of real-world PLC components.
Each Learning Unit begins with a brief introduction outlining Learning Unit Coverage and learning objectives.
Learning
unit concludes with a set of review questions and problems.
This core module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to design and
operate solar PV (PhotoVoltaic) systems. The trainees will be able to identify, select and
arrange different materials, equipment and tools used when designing and operating a
solar PV system. Moreover, he/she will be able to design, simulate and evaluate economics
of solar PV systems using software and perform their maintenance. It is designed for
trainees pursuing Diploma in Electrical Technology.
By the end of this module, the trainee will be able to design and operate solar PV systems
and carry out their maintenance.
This module describes the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to operate and
maintain a power plant. It is designed fortrainees pursuing diploma in Electrical
Technology.
At the end of this module, the trainee will be able to operate and maintain a hydro
power plant, a thermal power plant under minimum supervision.
