
Research Methodology is a foundational module designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct systematic, rigorous, and ethical research. The course introduces students to the core principles, processes, and approaches used in scientific inquiry across disciplines. It covers the formulation of research problems, development of research questions and hypotheses, review of related literature, and understanding of research paradigms.
Students will explore both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including research designs, sampling techniques, data collection instruments, and data analysis procedures. The module emphasizes the importance of validity, reliability, and ethical considerations in conducting research. Learners will also gain practical experience in writing research proposals, constructing research instruments, and presenting research findings in an academically appropriate manner.
By the end of the course, students will be able to conceptualize and design a research study, select appropriate methodologies, analyze data, and produce well-structured academic research reports that meet scholarly standards.
